Inspirational Day for Kent Girl Cricketers
Kent and England stars Charlotte Edwards and Lydia Greenway presented the Under 11 Girls with their County High Performance caps – a very proud moment for both the girls and their parents.
After forming the Guard of Honour, the girls enjoyed watching the Kent Women defeat Yorkshire, with Charlotte Edwards scoring over 100. It was a great start to the season, with the quest to regain the ECB Women’s County Championship.
Here is what some of the Girls had to say about the day:
“I felt very proud to be presented with my cap by Charlotte Edwards. It was a privilege to watch the game with Charlotte and the Kent Team playing Yorkshire. I will always remember that day.” - Ella Hadler.
“My favourite part of the day was taking part in the Guard of Honour, it was great fun. And it was exciting to meet the Kent team, especially Charlotte Edwards. My new squad cap is very special as she presented it to me.” - Ruby Cracknell Wright
"The best part of the day was getting high fives from the Kent players, a moment I will never forget! It's really cool receiving my cap from Charlotte Edwards and having it signed! Thank you.” - India Sax
