Flooding, what can you do?

Floods can have a devastating impact on a cricket club, causing damage to both pavilions and grounds.

The impact on clubs of the floods in 2007 and 2008 was significant, causing damage to buildings and machinery and depositing sediment and waste on outfields and squares.

Such floods are relatively rare but many clubs are affected by more regular flooding as of late – it might be the far corner of a field or the grounds shed. There is a lot that a cricket club can do to help reduce the risk of flood damage.  Click on the following links for more guidance: -
