K Power Networks Power of Giving
Community projects in London, the East of England and the South East (including Kent) could be in line for a cash boost of up to £10,000 thanks to a new UK Power Networks scheme.
The company is interested in supporting projects which improve the local environment, promote energy efficiency or the use of renewable energy and projects which reduce demand on the electricity network for example, low carbon energy installations for community buildings, such as heat source pumps or solar heating.
Successful projects can also apply for volunteer support, through UK Power Networks’ employee volunteering programme which gives staff two days a year each to help out in the community.
