Adult Participation (non-club)

As consumer spend on sport trends downwards, the challenge for ECB as with all major National Governing Bodies is to invest in its grassroots and provide innovative new formats to trigger participation in non-club settings.

ECB has been set targets from Sport England for increased Adult Participation(non-club) for age group 16-24 years and those in professions and family men. ECB not only wants to encourage brand new players to the game, but also to attract back players who have stopped playing for whatever reason.

The challenge for Kent Cricket Board is to create an accessible, all-year-round programme of adult particpation based on cricket, ECB is basing its strategy on shorter, well-organised fast-paced versions, such as

Last Man Stands

Easy Cricket

Indoor Cricket Leagues
