U11 Girls Course is a Winner
Beginning several months ago, the process to select the 2014 Kent Cricket Under 11 Girls Performance Squad culminated recently at The Judd School.
Twenty-nine girls, who were carefully chosen from September courses operating across the county, attended a special three week coaching course, which was designed to develop and show off their cricketing potential with the county coaching team.
Natasha Newman, KCB’s Cricket Development Officer for Women and Girls, and David Sear, coach and manager for the Under 11s commented, “we thoroughly enjoyed working with a fantastic group of talented girls. It is obvious that the clubs and districts are doing a great job by encouraging girls to play and progressing their skills to a high standard. We had a tough job deciding who to invite to join the squad for 2014, but it means that girls cricket at the grassroots level is in an extremely healthy situation.”
Kent Cricket's Under 11 girls Performance Squad for 2014 will be announced shortly before Christmas on the KCB website.
