Counties are allowed to make their own decision on permitting independent schools to enter their own county competitions, but only on the strict condition that those schools are informed PRIOR to entry that once past the county final the competition is open to state schools only. It is vital that any independent schools taking part must be made aware of this before they agree to enter.
